CEO Challenge: We face a number of barriers in helping others connect with our Triune God. These barriers include cultural, generational, lifestyle, congregational, educational, personality preferences, etc. Paul recognized this when he said "… I have become all things to all men …"
(1 Cor 9:22).
What works in connecting with one may not work for the next, and what works in one church may not work for every church. We need to understand that the battle is not ours, it is the Lord's.
The fundamental challenge is to surrender our methods, plans, and ways and become instruments in the hands of the Holy Spirit. Establishing relationships, or friendships within our circle of influence is the first step, maintaining them inside our circle of concern is the key step to assist others either individually or as a group, increasing their awareness of the barriers the devil uses to keep us away from our Savior, and finding ways given to us by God like the “means of grace” to overcome them.
Life is not about us. It is about loving one another through the help of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
